[DDET Do I need to make an appointment?]
In most cases, we do recommend you to make an appointment beforehand so that you can be seen by the physiotherapist at the time that you preferred, as we can be quite booked out and may not be able to fit you in on the spot if you just turn up. However, you are always welcome to call us in the morning to see if we are able to book you in on the day. Usually if you call within 24 to 48 hours we would be able to secure you an appointment time to your preference.

It is possible for Medicare to cover physiotherapy. The Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program provides more preventive care to older Australians. The program also improves care co-ordination between GPs and health professionals who provide care for people of any age with chronic conditions and complex care needs. Your GP will be able to assess whether you have complex care needs. To access Medicare funded physiotherapy, you will need to speak to your GP about whether you are eligible for this initiative. For more information about the EPC program talk to your physiotherapist and your GP, go to the Medicare Australia website: www.medicare.gov.au, or call Medicare Australia on 132 011.
